The main objective of Genki Ryu Do is to provide standard guidelines for schools under Genki Ryu Do Martial Arts Systems. These guidelines are to clarify operating procedures for existing and future schools. Due to the influx of new black belts and the opening of new schools, the time for establishing similarities between schools is required. A Board of Supervisors will be appointed by Soke Felix Revette to oversee and make decisions on behalf of the organization. These decisions will be made on special matters placed before the Board when deemed appropriate.

Soke Felix Revette reserves the right to overturn any decision made by the Board if he feels it is for the betterment of Genki Ryu Do.

Genki Ryu Do Karate School Guidelines

The official name of the karate schools will be Genki Ryu Do (Spirit of the Dragon).

The Soke of Genki Ryu Do will oversee all matters and activities within the organization.

Soke and the Board members will be present at all black belt tests.

Soke and the existing Board members will vote the Board members in.

A head representative of each state may be appointed to represent their own school or schools as well as other schools under the organization that exists within that state.

Uniform Standards

All students in Genki Ryu Do Karate will train in the traditional black karate gi cleaned and in good repair.

Placement of the Genki Ryu Do patch will be over the left breast area. All other patches worn shall be at the discretion of Soke and that student's instructor.

Soke and the student's instructor must approve any pins or patches purchased for display on uniform.

Ranking

All Black Belt ranking requires the presence of Soke and may not be ranked without the approval of Soke and the Senior instructor of that school.

All Black Belt candidates are required to obtain a current CPR certification before taking their test.

New Schools

All schools are required under the Genki Ryu Do Martial Arts Systems to obtain a yearly Charter from the Hombu. Price of yearly Charter is $100.00. A lifetime Charter is also available for $1,000.00.

All students of Genki Ryu Do Karate are required to obtain a LIFETIME membership certification from the school they are receiving instruction from.

All new students will fill out an application to the school and the instructor will send a copy to the Hombu. Address is Soke Felix Revette, 42 King Street, P.O. Box 341, Port Byron, NY 13140.

The Hombu will provide all Genki Ryu Do documents: Patches, Manuals, Membership Certificates, Kyu Rank Certificates and Charters, unless an agreement has been made with the Hombu. A price list may be obtained from the Hombu on all available products related to Genki Ryu Do Karate Schools.

Styles Within Genki Ryu Do

The Black Belt using different styles under the Genki Ryu Do organization may decide to start their own school or schools under that particular discipline.

The schools will be allowed to operate and supply their own equipment required by that particular discipline.

That instructor of the style will purchase a Charter to operate the school under the Genki Ryu Do organization provided they follow the guidelines of this document.

The material for these schools will be the responsibility of the instructor opening the school. Soke and the Board will not interfere with the operation of the school, but when asked, will help in any way.

A copy of the material used for the particular discipline is required for recording at the Hombu.

Soke must be present for all Dan ranks tested under the Genki Ryu Do organization.
